A: Customers who have contacted Camplux before concerning their portable tankless water heater product will be notified by direct mail for this safety recall. Information about safety recalls is also typically available through the website home page (www.thehomeappliances.com) and social media. The notices sent through the mail will give owners instructions for how to participate in the recall and how to receive a quick connect gas regulator repair kit to replace the current gas connector provided with the product.
Consumers should immediately turn off and stop using the recalled portable water heaters and contact The Home Appliances for a free repair kit. The repair kit consists of a replacement gas regulator with a quick connect attached.
Please be noted: the repair kit does not contain the water heater.

The portable tankless water heater model number and serial number (manufacture date) is located on the portable tankless water heater right side. You can also find the model number and serial number on the user manual.
- Q: My portable tankless water heater is working. Is it OK to continue to use the product?
A: No. You should immediately stop use of the product and contact us to receive a free repair kit.

- You can order your free repair kit online at www.thehomeappliances.com/waterheaterrecallor by contacting Camplux customer service at(844) 538-7475 or support@camplux.com. You will need to send us a photo of your Camplux label with the model number and serial number visible so that we can confirm that your product is included in the recall.
- How long will it take to get my repair kit?
- Once you order your repair kit, we expect that in most cases you will receive your repair kit in about 3-5 business days. However, please note that the first batch of repair kits will not be ready until May 2024.
- What is in the repair kit?
- The repair kit consists of a replacement gas regulator with a quick connect attachment that allows for easy connection and disconnection without the need to screw in the gas regulator. Instructions for installing this repair kit will also be provided.
- Can I continue to use my portable tankless water heater while I wait toreceive the repair kit?
- If your portable tankless water heater is included in this recall and you continue using it, there is a potential the product may leak gas, posing a fire hazard. Please stop using your water heater until you have received and installed the freerepair kit.
- How difficult is it to install the repair kit?
- The repair kit provides instructions that shouldmake it easy for you to install the quick connect gas regulator. We anticipate that it will take no more than 1-2 minutes to install your repair kit.

- Q: How much will it cost to repair the quick connect gas regulator repair kit on my portable tankless water heater?
A: Camplux will perform recall-related repairs at no cost to the customer. Simply contact Camplux customer service to arrange for a repair kit to be sent to you.
- Q: I received a letter about portable tankless water heater recall but the repair kit is not ready yet. What should I do?
A: Your recall notification letter should provide information about your course of action. In most cases, you can contact Camplux customer service to arrange the recall repair kit and have them contact you when the necessary parts are available. The first batch of repair kits will be ready in May 2024.
- Q: I think my portable tankless water heater has a recall, but I have not been notified. What should I do?
A: You can check your model number and serial number located on the right side of the product to check if it is included in this recall.
- Am I still eligible for a free repair kit if I no longer have the receipt for my portable tankless water heater?
- Yes. You do not need a receipt to order your free repair kit. To order your free repair kit you will need the model number and serial number of your product located onthe right side. Sending us a picture of this label with the model number and serial number visible in that photo is also acceptable.

- There are approximately 42,000 Camplux products that are included in this recall.
- Q: After I get the repair kit, what should I do with the old replaced gas regulator kit?
A: You just need to discard the old gas regulator in the trash.
